How to Travel the World as a Couple.....

Without killing each other. This is one area where I can happily say that I am an EXPERT. There are plenty of blogs out there who specialise in how to travel as a solo female and even more who have a niche in how to travel as a male backpacker. But how to avoid killing your partner? I got this.

How to travel the world as a couple

So, you wanna go travelling with your other half do you? You've planned your trip together excitedly for months. Saved pennies, pinned like a crazy person, pored over blogs and bought too many  copies of the Lonely Planet. You are ready to go. So what are you worried about?

You're worried that you are gonna be that couple everybody talks about, nay, lectures you about. Because of course, this trip is either 'make or break' for you, right? Well, I'll let you into a little secret. Those worrywarts spouting advice to you don't know shit. Fact. I am almost 100% positive that none of the people who have frightened you enough that you are considering taking my advice haven't travelled as a couple. In fact, they may not have even travelled more than a short vacation. Don't listen to them. That's my first bit of advice.

I know all of this because I was that person a few years ago too. I let other people's fears and insecurities become my own, spending my time fretting before my big trip when I should have been relishing every last bit of family time I had left over Christmas.

I do NOT want this for you. Because there is really no need for it. You can travel as a couple and avoid the drama, avoid the 'make or break' cliche. But you need to be aware of a few things and make sure that you safeguard against them. Nothing big, or dramatic or complicated........it's as simple as a few small checks and tweaks.

All you need, is this cheeky little infographic (which you could totally print out and keep in your travel journal if you were so inclined!).
