A Lovely Lush Beauty Haul
You may remember when I posted about the dreamy news that Lush is now doing skincare? Since that day I've been itching to get my hands on the product and test it out for myself and being blessed with many Lush stores at my disposal in the UK, that day came yesterday. I popped into the Canterbury store, and spent a few heavenly minutes just being excited at everything before knuckling down to the task at hand. Suncare.
I got a speedy but very detailed explanation of how you use 2 of the key new Suncare products in Lush' arsenal. The Sunblock is a bar of creamy moisturising goodness that you use in the shower and protects you to the tune of SPF 30......weird, I know. I actually love it, and it's not so hard to use once you suspend your views on what a bar of soap should be. I haven't had to top up on dry skin yet......but when I do, you'll hear about it here first!
The second product I actually wasn't going to go for, but was persuaded of it's star quality by the amazing staff who appear to all have a serious addiction was the Sesame Body Lotion (SPF 10). Side note -- have you ever noticed that everyone who works for Lush is super happy and seem fully addicted to the product? It's kind of like cult.....a good one, that you can drop into when you want without having to participate in questionable group activities like suicide or orgies. Just me? I digress....the second product is seemingly a traditional lotion. But this is Lush people, and traditional can jog on.
Sesame Suntan Lotion is SPF 10, pretty low but I'm a classic olive who tans easily so this is definitely one for me. The thing I think will make it a bit of a marmite product is the smell. It smells a bit like peanut butter....actually, it smells a LOT like peanut butter (I think it might be the sesame?!). Happily I love that smell, and it does fade eventually to a softer Aloe Vera scent. It doubles up as an after sun, so I've nabbed a cheeky sample and will be testing the benefits out before grabbing a full size bottle for Thailand in January.
It's weird, and more than a little bit kooky but like all things Lush, has totally filled a void in my life I didn't know existed.
Just because they're so pretty.....
