Happy snow day y’all! How exciting is that? I know, I know. England basically grinds to a halt at the merest whisper of less-than-mild weather but I can’t say I care too much, even though it technically ruined my weekend plans. But we’ve made new ones already, mostly involving hibernation and planning for our trip to South Africa NEXT WEEK.
We are grossly underprepared, but that’s how we roll and we aren’t stressing about it too much. And, actually, until the moment I heard the weatherman lose his shit talking about ‘tidal surges’ I was actually pretty keen to skip a holiday and stay in my hiberantion cave. But now? Get me to the sun NOW. The only issue I’m currently facing is the lack of zoom lens for my dSLR. They are about £500+ though so…..probs gonna stick with my jobby kit lens for now.
So this week, the theme is pretty obvious. It’s South Africa! From people I already follow who have been to the national parks themselves I can’t get enough of the pictures of wine country, penguins and baby elephants…..I can’t even cope with the cuteness.
THEME: SOUTH AFRICA
I met Franziska a long time ago at a blogging conference in Athens, and again at WTM later that year. She is one of the sweetest bloggers around, and I love her feed SO much.
Because she works in aviation alongside being a successful travel blogger, she travels A LOT and recently visited South Africa. Her pictures showcased some of the most divine beaches and stunning sunny weather around and I cannot wait to get me some vitamin S E A.
A fellow Luce, she has also been featured in My Week in Instagram series before. Her images are always beautifully shot, captions thoughtful and dull of useful information and she has fast become my go to blogging resource due to her awesome back catalogue of well researched, well written posts.
If you don’t already follow her, you should!
Because….elephants. Am I right?
Have you been to South Africa? Got any top tips for me?
