It’s been a proper whirlwind these past few weeks — I got married, went on a mini break to Budapest and got home to a leaky flat. All in a month’s work though, eh?
I’ve genuinely really enjoyed taking a break from the blog, from work and social media…..and it’s given me pause to stop and think about what I want to do with my life, and if this is it. Which sounds terribly dramatic, but I guess getting wed does that to a gal.
This week’s photo of the week could only come from one place, and I apologise if it’s a touch cliché and sentimental. It could only ever be Koh Tao, the place that stole my heart and where Oli proposed way back when, on Sairee Beach.
There’s a big Burmese population in Koh Tao, and you probably wouldn’t be able to tell unless you know the Burmese tradition of applying Thanaka cream (the white marks indicating a special paste Burmese people paint on their faces). This little cutie was the daughter of one of the fishermen on the island, and I would see her every day when I went for my morning beach run (which did not happen often enough!).
If you liked this post, make sure you subscribe to the blog, so you never miss a post again! I only send ONE email a week (as well as the super exclusive monthly roundup!) and I’d love you to be part of my merry little WanderLuce squad!
