My little instagram series has been away for a wee while, and that’s because it’s a post I tend to do the day before so I can show you my up-to-date gallery. Hence the title! But what that means is when I take a break, or am ill or am too full of cheese to write it doesn’t get written. Hence the little break while I was sunning myself silly in South Africa.
However I’m back with a bang this week with a whole new theme, and some great accounts for you to follow. I’m even cross posting it with a lovely Instagram snap for #followfriday so hopefully everyone who follows me will merge and make beautiful blogging love.
That’s the dream anyway 😉
I don’t know about you, and I know it’s February now so we are all moving on from the pointless detox diets and ‘dry’ attempt and onto things a little more positive, but still — I’m stick into the newness of the year. All of the possibility 2017 is going to bring, and what I want to achieve. If you’ve been reading my Pregnancy Diaries series you’ll be well aware I’ve got one thing on my to-do list coming up…..but there’s plenty outside of motherhood I’m looking forward to as well.

I’m not talking about gardening, or making my own underwear (although, as you’ll see from my faves that’s a distinct possibility) but embracing a little creativity outside of work. Enjoying a bit of solitude and crafting for crafts sake. Not for practicality, or for aesthetically desirable products (although that is, of course, a bonus) but for the process itself. I used to love cross-stitch when i was younger (#oldbeforemytime much?) and my beautiful Insta friend Fifi reminded me to crack that out again. Baking is always dreamy, and with my new-found sweet tooth pretty necessary too. And I’d also dearly love to dust my sewing machine off and start sewing again. Amazing Elena inspires me to do this daily at the moment.
I love this feed so much. It’s filled with little squares of stillness, pretty pursuits and calligraphy. A fairly new find for me, and one I check into regularly.
If you’re a regular reader, you’ll recognise Fife’s feed from a few weeks back. I love her blog, which is filled with positivity and thoughtfulness, and her Instagram feed reflects this too. Her hashtag #justalittlewhimsy is a gorgeous collection of cute little moments captured beautifully.
I’m also very lucky to call her an Insta-mate too 🙂
Sarah has a really dreamy feed full of knitting, her little one and gorgeous Scottish landscapes and is another regular here on My Week in Instagram. She recently set up a new account for her gorgeous hand-made booties (Brass Buttons), and I am OBSESSED with getting some for my wee one.
Elena is super stylish in that accessible, non threatening way. She has glossy swishy hair, and takes stunning self-portraits yet somehow never manages to seem obviously styled. She recently did the Unfancy 10 x 10 challenge where she shared outfits creatively styled from her capsule 10-piece collection and it was super inspiring!
She also makes her own damn clothes. And they are dreamy.
If you don’t already follow me on Instagram, head on over here to see snapshots of my daily life. And make sure you subscribe to the blog so you never miss a post again – I send a weekly update of everything I’ve written each week, so it’s never annoying (hopefully!).
